Our Story

A Life Built Around Learning

I founded Luminous Potential after more than a decade of working alongside students, families, educators, and school leaders—in classrooms, leadership offices, and living rooms—helping people find clearer pathways forward.

I earned two undergraduate degrees from the University of Idaho and a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. I am currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Christian University, further expanding my ability to support the academic, personal, and professional growth of the people and communities I serve.

My career has given me a full-circle perspective on education. I began as a Teach For America Houston 2014 corps member at Fondren Middle School in Houston ISD, a Title I campus, where I saw firsthand the impact that intentional support, strong relationships, and meaningful opportunities can have on students and families. Since then, I have worked in public, charter, and private schools as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, school administrator—including as a principal—and in executive leadership within an educational technology startup. I have also worked in gifted and talented education, coached educators, and designed programming to help students stay challenged, engaged, and known.

Above all, I am a proud mother of two, and motherhood has deeply shaped the way I approach my work. It has reminded me of the importance of seeing the whole person, advocating for what matters, and creating opportunities for people to feel supported, capable, and empowered to thrive.

That is the heart of Luminous Potential. I believe meaningful growth begins with relationships—with students, families, educators, leaders, and organizations—and grows through practical tools, thoughtful guidance, and collaboration. Whether I am supporting a student, developing professional learning for educators, or helping an organization strengthen its work, my goal is to meet people where they are, understand what they need, and help them build the confidence and capacity to move forward independently.

I believe the best support does not create dependence; it creates possibility. I strive to build bridges, strengthen connections, and develop resources and strategies that people can carry with them long after our work together ends.

Luminous Potential is ultimately about creating sustainable possibilities—not just solving problems. I am here to help families, schools, and organizations identify what they need, build the structures to support it, and develop the capacity to carry that work forward on their own.
